Although the sensation varies from person to person, most
people relate a tattoo to scratching, sunburn or a cat scratch. Some areas
of the body are more sensitive than others, but overall the sensation
stays the same. also women usually have a higher pain tolerance than
men.
Every effort is made in our studio to ensure
that your tattooing and piercing is done safely and hygienically. Strict
sterilisation procedures are followed, needles are prepacked and
sterilised, used only for one person, then disposed of in the clients
presence. All ink is also disposed of in the clients presence. All
Piercing supplies are also single use. This is to ensure that everything
possible has been done to give our clients the highest standards of
hygiene, before and during the tattoo or piercing. Clients are also given
verbal after care instruction as well as written instructions.
With the huge popularity of Tattooing
and Piercing, it seems there are new studios in every town. Be prepared to
travel to get an artist who is capable of carrying out the work you want.
Costs vary, but "you get what you pay for". Ask to see examples of work
that the artists have carried out.
Have something
to eat and wear appropriate clothing for the area that is being tattooed.
Don't drink alcohol or take drugs, as we will refuse to Tattoo or Pierce
you. Take your time when choosing a design, it's there forever. Try to
relax, and enjoy the experience.
It is illegal
to Tattoo anyone under the age of Eighteen. (The Tattooing of minors Act.
1969). We also support legislation to increase the age of consent for
Piercees to Sixteen.
